Glass Cup

We have a dirty cup of glass.

We clean the inside for cleanliness to reflect on the outside.

Same with personal goals and changes. We change by cleaning the inside of our cup for it to reflect on the outside. Whatever happens it is our cup of glass not someone else’s. We have our own right to do whatever pleases our life.

When we have an own way of motivating ourselves to succeed, nothing should be able to hinder it. Our love for it, our determination for it, our intelligence and being inspired by others should be the focus to push us forward in making our motivation of that plan come true.

Our dirty cup may contain jealousy, relationship issues, people bothering us, failures, stress, making the wrong decisions, sadness etc, all of these dirt needs to be thrown away. Be us, be awesome, be clean, start anew, select only a few and always smile.

We should know if someone tries to put their heaviness on us, or start making decisions with us included. Do not include ourself in decisions we cannot fit in.

We all have our own plans, our own future, and our own path before and after we die.

There is no set rules, we learn the rules when we are brought up, and we apply the rules we take in. Yes, other people have their own conditions, but that person who loves us the most is the only one who can accept our conditions.

When we began cleaning our cup, we are also shaping it into our most incredible us.

Our awesomeness, our humble spirit, our passion, our success, our pride, our relationships, our plans, our love, and our kind heart comes only from ourselves.

Past and Present

“Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.” Mother Teresa
image quote

We have come through a lot of experiences in our lives, some of these experiences are good and some are not. The past changes us so much that we are always cautious sometimes with certain things in life. We tend to forger the present beauty and the present love surrounding us now because we always think about our past.

We hold on to our past so much and forget our own happiness now. When we should be asking God to forgive us and move on with our present life bringing God’s grace with us for a better future.

“The past is always tense, the future perfect.” Zadie Smith

Everything we do depends on our own decisions. We can choose to hold on to our past or to let it go and move forward. When we hold on to our past we let the past eat our lives and hold us back to the many blessings awaiting us ahead.

We forget about God and we did not receive Christ Jesus, he is the only one who can help us through our past and move on to a glorious everlasting life.

We must not allow the past to win over us.

We have to surround ourselves with meaningful moments. Surround us with people who will support us and love us for who we are and not just using us for their own benefits.

We must always let the Lord Jesus Christ carry our burden.

“The past was always there, lived inside of you, and it helped to make you who you were. But it had to be placed in perspective. The past could not dominate the future.” Barbara Taylor Bradford, Unexpected Blessings.

Why do we want to meet people, share love, find a relationship, start a business, go travel, eat healthy and still carry on our past.

We have to clear our mind with goodness and peace. We have to forget the past and focus on the future bringing ourselves closer to GOD even more.

The more closer we are to God, the more closer we understand ourselves and see our plans fall into place.

God knows everything about us, allowing him to dwell in our lives will bring us much more happiness.

Pray always and have love, be kind and gentle for such is also in Heaven.

Our Spiritual Value

Your Net worth is calculating your assets and liabilities to know the status of your financial situation or knowing how much you are financially worth but it will be lovely also to know more our Spiritual worth.

What do you practice spiritually to increase your spiritual value for the future?

We have an opportunity so vast to growing ourselves both physically and spiritually, gift that is openly given to us to use, how do we use it?

Some of us may have 10% spiritual and 90% physical connection in our lives or we have 100% physical connection.

A good example of spiritual and physical connection is with King Solomon, he has enormous wealth and a strong spiritual relationship with God. If life can be so simple to having that connection with God we all will be wealthy and holy. Unfortunately most of us do not have that balance.

With so much temptations and disturbances in this world, it is difficult to increase our spiritual holiness. We may go places and wonder how others like monks or dedicated priests seem to find it easy when we are not. We are all human beings and it takes time and dedication.

Spiritual growth or value is nothing you can see yet it is within you to make that value by seeking advises, gain knowledge, and expand in relationship with God.

How do we increase our spiritual value?

2 Chronicles 1:7 – In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask what I shall give you.”

Solomon did not ask for riches or to be wealthy, he asks for Wisdom and Knowledge. In addition God gave him wealth.

We should study ourselves and increase our spiritual connection with God, everything else will come later as God sees fit for us. He looks at our heart and gives accordingly to what we deserve.

Our spiritual value increases through God when we pray, we work hard and we research/study hard. These are the same ways the apostles/missionaries abide to when spreading the good news. Yes they are poorly provided for but their work always comes with benefit when needed be. God gives to them accordingly as planned.

We have so much yet we complain. We must not live complaining to him. We have so much love, peace, grace and thoughts to give and use. We can use it to draw closer to him.

I leave you with the verses below:

John 6:63 – It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

Psalm 36:9 – For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.

Life as it is

One of my followers wants me to write about life and because it is a very broad topic I decided to write about moving on and starting a new chapter in life.

I do not know your problems, but what I do know is that we all go through struggles and hardships in life.

When we think back, we usually say we wasted our years doing something we do not love. We may say, the person who is living with us is dragging us along when we should be focusing on ourselves and our purpose.

We do not realize that the person we live with is relying on us most of the time, maybe because that person expects for us to provide love.

We do not realize our families are forcing us to do something we do not love or we are not independent enough to make such decisions and we end up doing someone else’s purpose in life.

Starting a new chapter in life is very difficult, here are some tips to moving on:

  1. cut off all ties of those who always rely on you to do work for them

  2. if you have a relationship be true to yourself and your partner

  3. get rid of unnecessary issues that you do not need to get involved in

  4. find your purpose, put God first and seek for answers why you are here

  5. work hard and invest in yourself, focus on your career goals, make yourself worthy, leap high and aim towards success

  6. Open up to new opportunities and try

  7. Avoid trying to satisfy everyone

  8. push forward with your own honesty and what comes to heart, be yourself

  9. Do not run away from people but tell them straight up you are not interested

  10. Tell people to shove up their ass what negative comments come your way

We are not selfish, we are trying to be who we are. Do not listen to what people say about us, a frog does not stay on a lily pad or bask in the sun forever, it leaps or pokes out its tongue for food. We do not have to poke out your tongue, we must do things on our own and selecting which one is best for us.

Women Power

There are many different women I met and all of them are uniquely confined to themselves from a certain event in their past life. We read stories of women in the bible and each of these women have their own past life which teaches us good lessons.

For example, Mary Mother of Jesus is very conservative due to her religious background.  Having a child without a father brings about a lot of demeaning words against her. Yet she has so much faith in God and allowed God to intervene. Another example is Queen Esther who saved her people the Jewish from death even though what she did would put her to death. This shows great courage, love, bravery and strength. We also have Mary Magdalene, who was said in the bible to be a prostitute and later become a follower of Jesus.

When I sit in the room full of women I wonder if they ever wonder what their future would be like, what will they change to abide to God’s plan for them and at the same time please their heart to knowing that each day is a blessing.

Women of all ages

We have the power to change

We have the power to be brave

We have the power to have faith in God

We have the power to overcome feelings

We have the power to Pray

We have the power to work together

We have the power to intervene

We have the power to bless

We have the power to move

We have the power to solve

We have the power to walk away

We have the power to build

We have the power to start a new relationship

We have the power to be happy

We have the power to be spiritual

We have the power to be wise

We have the power to be knowledgeable

We have the power to be Happy

We have the power to be healthy

Did I forget to say God made us in his own image? Genesis 1:27 So God created humans to be himself; he made men and women.

We were made in the image of God. How wonderful!

Stop complaining!  God has given you power already, use it.

Living the life of holiness – Respect for personality

I have this book with me for a while next to my bed side table. I only read part of it because I get sleepy reading books, the title reminds me of how everything should be, it is called The life of Holiness, written for African Ordinands by The Reverend S.H. Childs.

One of the topic I like to discuss further from this book is respect for personality.

The two things that mold us is 1. People are brought up in different ways and 2. God makes each of us different for the purposes planned only by him.

I was born into a society where teachings are strict or parents did not teach well their children or children did not attend school or children work hard doing household chores since childhood. All of these changes our personality and we cannot blame one another for who we are. Why do families love each other? It is because they were brought up together the same way.

How can I make myself lovable and approachable to someone I truly hate? You start by applying number 2. Allow God to work on you as it should be and allow love in your heart. You respect another when you have love in your heart.

Matthew 7:12, “do for others what you want them to do for you: this is the meaning of the Law of Moses and of the teachings of the prophets.”

Romans 12:10, ” Love one another warmly as christians, and be eager to show respect for one another.”

Read 1 Samuel 16:, “Pay no attention to how tall and  handsome he is. I have rejected him, because I do not judge as people judge. They look at the outward appearance, but i look at the heart.”

God chose you by looking at your heart, yes in the Bible he converted some heathen individuals such as Saul to Paul but he knew Paul would be a perfect christian to spread his words using his evil energetic character into something good.  We always do not know the outcome, what we do know is how we treat others and present ourselves shows the kind of person we are.

The most important thing is if we respect ourselves.

Feeling bad about ourself for not loved in return is alright, you have done your part. It is not for you to judge the outcome, it is God’s.

Respect as you always do, love as you always loved, do not feel bad just because someone does not respect you.

Respecting people and how we treat people  shows our heartfelt thoughts and feelings. People who do not respect us in return shows their heart is full of hatred and we cannot blame them. Hopefully how we respect them teaches them to change.  Continue reading “Living the life of holiness – Respect for personality”

Genesis and now

Thursday was very biblical for me, my adviser shared the word of God and a priest I invited to have dinner with me shared the story of Jacob and Rachel. I must say it is a good time especially during this Lenten season to hear the word of God.

I would like to share some few words about God’s abiding love.

In Genesis 3:22 –  LORD God said, “The man/Adam has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”

The words – the tree of life and eat, and live forever – means:

We eat and drink the Body and Blood of Jesus during Holy Communion

We live for ever accepting Jesus Christ as a our Savior

God Protected the Tree of Life even from angels because it is the core of eternal life.

The book of John 14:6 it says,  “Jesus replied, Am the way, the truth, and the life, No one comes to the father except through me”.

In Proverbs 8:23 it says, “From everlasting I was established, From the beginning, from the earliest times of the earth.”

Jesus and God are one.

When Jesus came into being as one of us, he automatically gives us the opportunity to live forever.

Spiritually connected

Certain people I met are truly amazing and very spiritual. I wondered how they learn about themselves and improve themselves.

There are many different spirits, our spirit can be connected to other spirits and all of them work together.

The Bible says in Genesis 41:38, “Can we find a man like Joseph, one in whom the spirit of God is present?”

The good spirit in Pharaoh tells him that Joseph’s spirit is the true spirit, why? The spirit of God always makes sense, always is knowledgeable, humbled and graceful.

Exodus 35:31, ” He has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with understanding, with knowledge, and in all kinds of work”

What type of spirit do you have? Is your spirit connected to another?

A time will come when we will feel the increase in spiritual changes, to knowing the right and the wrong, to sense other spirits going  in the same direction as we are. We will feel wonders of how we end up in certain places, for a purpose.

When we are spiritually connected with God, we feel like distancing ourself from people who will not listen to what we understand.

I hope you find the type of spirit that God gives for you.

Psalm 121

I want to share with you this Psalm to give you encouragement, the Lord Almighty is always there for you. Blessed be your soul now and forever.

Psalm 121

A song of ascents.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—

where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—

he who watches over you will not slumber;

indeed, he who watches over Israel

will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you—

the Lord is your shade at your right hand;

the sun will not harm you by day,

nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—

he will watch over your life;

the Lord will watch over your coming and going

both now and forevermore.
