How to Pray

People search far and wide for books, verses, collect, hymns, see priests and traveled far to find how to pray to God. They use signs and different dialects on prayers.

It so happened that because people are so muddled up with different prayers, they confuse themselves on what they really need from God.

We know our own needs. Why do you ask for someone to pray for you when that person knows nothing about you? If You have a need in your life, only God can answer you. When we pray use simple words and talk to God like talking to your friends.

How to Pray is taught by Jesus to his disciples in Matthew 6:9-13.

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
.

Chapter 6: 7 also says, ” Do not heap up empty phrases as the gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.”

When you say this prayer, always say it slowly with a meaningful and loving heart. Apply also the two most important commandments as well.

The two most important commandment is found in Matthew 22:37-39. Also in these verses in verse 40 it says, ” on these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

If these two commandments depends entirely on all the Laws and Prophets what more do you want? This is enough for the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Elisha, Elijah and Apostles.

When you pray for Food or thank God for anything, just say Thank you. Do you have to go to the middle of the universe to search how to say thank you to God? The love in you and love for your neighbors shows you have a heart for people and God knows when you think of them after receiving your blessings.
