Thursday was very biblical for me, my adviser shared the word of God and a priest I invited to have dinner with me shared the story of Jacob and Rachel. I must say it is a good time especially during this Lenten season to hear the word of God.
I would like to share some few words about God’s abiding love.
In Genesis 3:22 – LORD God said, “The man/Adam has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”
The words – the tree of life and eat, and live forever – means:
Jesus
We eat and drink the Body and Blood of Jesus during Holy Communion
We live for ever accepting Jesus Christ as a our Savior
God Protected the Tree of Life even from angels because it is the core of eternal life.
The book of John 14:6 it says, “Jesus replied, Am the way, the truth, and the life, No one comes to the father except through me”.
In Proverbs 8:23 it says, “From everlasting I was established, From the beginning, from the earliest times of the earth.”
Jesus and God are one.
When Jesus came into being as one of us, he automatically gives us the opportunity to live forever.
